I couldn’t be happier with this black & decker tire inflator. 3 key things, when compared to the Slime Pro Power, made me choose this one:
1. It pumps air quickly and does so using either AC 110V or automobile’s DC 12V
2. Does not draw too much current from automobile’s DC 12V as to short your car’s fuse (reported by Slime Pro Power users)
3. This unit has manual-adjustable-PSI. I just turn it to say like 33psi and just PUMP-N-FORGET. this is so convenient you dont even need to use tire pressure measuring devices anymore

I purchased this product yesterday, and have only inflated three tires with it so far, so I will update this review if anything changes…but so far I love this Black&Decker AS1300 Air Station inflator. It is easy to use straight out of the box, and it inflated the tires to 45psi in about 3 minutes. I used it on a couple of trailer tires and a spare, and the unit turned off automatically at the preset psi, which I found to be accurate. I suggest setting the machine slightly higher than the desired psi for the tire, then you can use a precision tire gauge to bleed air out to the desired pressure.
I know other reviewers have found this unit to be delicate, and short-lived, but so far it has paid for itself (I paid $39.98). Without it, I would have had to remove both of the tires from the trailer and driven to a gas station to have them inflated. With this unit, I easily filled the tires in the driveway. Now I can drive to the tire dealer. No hassle, no problem!

This thing is great. I wish I had bought this thing years ago. It is compact and light and operates on a car battery or AC. The built-in cord is very short so I always use it with an extension cord.

Very easy to use. It stops inflating when the desired pressure is reached, which is awesome. It’s powered by either your car’s cigarette lighter or a regular wall plug. Definitely worth the money.

I have two of these inflators – I’ve been using one for over a year, and it’s still running like new. I bought the second one after my Craftsman inflator – similar in size and shape, but AC only and around $100 – pooped out after minimal use. If you judge by price, you’d think the Craftsman would have lasted for years, but it was a lemon. I paid fifty for my first B&D (I think they’re down to forty now), and it was a bargain then.
It has a long car cord, which is a must. The AC cord is short, as is the air hose, but they both fit nicely behind a door (and you can actually get them back in once you unwind them!). You can easily set the pump to shut off when your tire is up to pressure. The little inflating gadgets (ball needle, tapered beach toy valve thingy) are stored securely behind another door.
What else can I say? It inflates your tires, with no burning smell. And it will probably outlast a bunch of those cheap $20 inflators, and a few $100 inflators as well. I recommend it.

The B&D air station is easy to use with the psi indicator valve. Although my primary use is with AC current, it also functions from the battery in your car. I use it to inflate my bike tires and the car tires. Have also used to inflate pool toys (beats blowing it up manually). Definitely a great investment.

I was skeptical when ordering this pump. But, I know that the usage depends on how carefully one can handle this item. The only thing that I didn’t like about the pump is the nozzle part which is made of plastic. You have to be very careful when taking out of the tire. Just shake a little bit while pulling straight up against the valve. I am aftraid if this step is not performed correctly, the user can loose tire pressure, and may break the nozzle itself.
I gave it 4.5 stars becasue it worked perfectly fine for me out of the box. I set up the pressure dial 3 to 4 lbs higher than the desired pressure of 36 lbs in my van tire. Always check the pressure with a calibrated gauge.
